Our final destination of our east coast road trip was Pittsburgh!
This city was so interesting to me and offered a completely different vibe than Atlanta which I love. It's so neat to see how cities can comparably be so different.
Our Airbnb was located on the south shore area of McKee's Rocks on a cute cobblestone street. This location was pretty convenient to get to the other places we needed to go. This was especially handy since it was a long drive from Tennessee to Pittsburgh. Of course we made a stop at a brewery along the way.
We arrived in Pittsburgh a little after five and pretty much went right back out the door to make it to the Pirates game at PNC park. This would be my Luke's 8th baseball stadium and my 6th and this just made it to the top of both of our lists as our favorite!
Like Atlanta, we bought the cheapest seats and then just ended up sitting along the bar tops right above field level!
The next day was Easter and our last full day of our trip so we took it easy. First we had tickets to the Van Gogh Experience. This was so so cool and it was even better because it was Easter Sunday so we basically had the place to ourselves.
Then we had Easter brunch booked at Southern Tier Brewing which has been on Luke's brewery bucket list. It was a great way to spend the afternoon eating good food and drinking good beer.
Finally we just went back to the Airbnb and had a relaxing evening on the last night of our trip!
Tips:
Buy a parking pass through one of the parking apps like Parking Panda or Spot Hero. This is generally a cheaper route and there are plenty of options.
